Dr. Frederick graduated with a degree in Kinesiology, with an Honours in Movement Science from the University of Windsor. After that, she went on to continue her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where she graduated in 2009 as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Frederick is trained in adjusting, muscle/soft tissue release techniques, therapeutic athletic taping, kineso taping rehabilitation exercises, has received a certificate of proficiency in the Webster technique (which is a specific adjustment used for pregnant mothers that helps to balance the pelvic muscles, thus allowing the baby to get into the best position for birth), and through continuing education is a certified animal chiropractor, and has received a certificate from McMaster University for their Medical Acupuncture program. These techniques all help her to provide a well rounded treatment program for each individual and for their animal companions.
As a licensed chiropractor, Dr. Frederick specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions and disorders relating to the skeletal, nervous, and muscular systems. She believes firmly in treating the source of the problem rather than the symptoms alone. Dr. Frederick believes that education and proper communication is imperative to patient care. When people understand why their pain or dysfunction is occurring, it enables them to make the changes necessary to correct the problem at hand. She is dedicated to providing patients with high quality professional care with a referral network of other health care professionals to direct patients to and consult with when needed. She is excited to apply all that she has learned both on and off the sports field, to provide the best possible care in order for every patient to achieve their optimal function. As an advocate for holistic healing, Dr. Frederick is dedicated to optimizing your health and wellness through chiropractic care and helping you reach and surpass your health goals. From newborns to adults, Dr. Frederick uses techniques specific to the individual. Spinal alignment will help your body grow, develop, and heal naturally as well as adapt to everyday stress.
